Imagine that you or your loved one needed a medication ASAP. What would you do? Would you go completely out of your way to make sure that you or your loved one got that medication? Well, ensuring that people get the medication they need, when they need it, is what I strive to do on a daily basis. As the Logistics Coordinator for Pharmacy Alternatives™, my job is to make sure that all of our clients, nationwide, get their medication in a timely manner, no matter what Mother Nature throws at us. 

My experience in the healthcare industry began about nine years ago. I specialized in oxygen, hospital beds and power wheelchairs along with specialty wheelchairs and other durable medical equipment.

Honestly, until my mother developed cancer, I didn’t think I would be working in healthcare as long as I have. She lost her battle with brain cancer about three and a half years ago. Watching someone go through something like that is one of the most life-changing experiences that you could ever have. I was thankful to have a lot of support from my friends and family to help me get through those difficult days as well as an understanding boss (great friend) who gave me the time I needed. I knew then that I needed to stay in this field and try to make a difference in other people’s lives.

I started in the pharmacy field about four and a half years ago. I get to work with MR/DD individuals and I learn new things on a day to day basis. Making a difference in someone’s life is a great feeling. The smallest achievement in this industry can have a very large impact.
